About
Dermaroller (Micro-Needling)
What is dermaroller?
Dermaroller is a skin rejuvenation treatment known as micro-needling. It involves using a special roller with tiny needles along its surface of the skin to make lots of shallow punctures.
How does it work?
The tiny punctures stimulate a healing response within the skin, starting a cell renewal process and the production of collagen and elastin. This helps to rejuvenate the skin, plumping out fine lines and wrinkles and improving the appearance of marks, scars, acne scarring and stretchmarks.
Can the treatment be painful?
It is quite painless with anaesthetic applied to the area being treated, meaning that the tiny micro needles that pierce through the outermost layer of skin are barely felt.

Are there any side effect from this treatment?
The side-effects of this treatment are minimal. After the treatment the skin will feel a little sensitive, tight and red, this will subside within a few hours. Within two days the skin will have healed itself and you will start to see how the treatment is improving the appearance of your skin.
How many treatments do I need to see the best results?
A course of 4 treatments is usually recommended in order to see the best results, particularly for acne scarring and stretch marks. However, some people may see visible results after just one treatment.
